The AT/XT USB Keys is a device that allows a USB keyboard to be hooked up to a system that requires AT or XT keyboards. (AT Code still being worked)
The autorepeat for this device will only work using Fred Kaal's firmware on XT and Geneve 9640 computers currently.
This board can be used with 2 different types of firmware: Firmware Options:
Fred Kaal's USB2XT for Geneve 9640 and XT computers:
Fred has created a nice firmware that will not only work on XT computers but has 2 different modes for use with MDOS and BASIC on a Geneve 9640. I have modified the code slightly to use different keys to enable these modes as none of my keyboards had a LEFT and RIGHT Windows key. To activate the MDOS mode, simply press LEFT SHIFT + LEFT WINDOWS GUI + M ; to activate BASIC mode simply press LEFT SHIFT + LEFT WINDOWS GUI + B
These modes allow a user to type the first 3 characters of a MDOS or BASIC command and press TAB to complete or tab through the commands for quick access.
The autorepeat for this firmware does work on a XT and Geneve 9640 computer.

JediMatt42's USB2XT Keys for the Geneve 9640 but only with a couple of changes to allow for AT or XT keyboards utilizing a jumper to select (once the AT code is ready). The unit also has a standard 5 pin DIN connector and can be hooked up with a standard 5 pin straight through DIN cable such as a MIDI cable.
What makes the board work is a Teesny Microcontroller that interfaces with a UHS Mini USB Host. The board is designed to fit into a standard Hammond 1591XXL enclosure (not included). The code is the exact same code used in JediMatt's keyboard projects. (XT only right now). For more information please see JediMatt's project page about the code.
XT keyboards also typically implement the auto-repeat feature internally. JediMatt did not implement the autorepeat into the code. The Geneve does not implement auto-repeat either. therefore using this firmware will not cause autorepeat when holding down a character key.
The autorepeat for this firmware does NOT work on a XT and Geneve 9640 computer.
Case not included. Free firmware code updates will be provided from http://shift838.99er.net
and/or JediMatt42's website
Board will be assembled and tested prior to shipping.
See the board in action HEREPlease note the product will either be assembled using a Teensy 3.2 or Teensy LC based on price and availability.
